TELEGRAPH.CO.UK - Nov 16 - People approaching or already past retirement age are the most active and experimental of all daters, according to a study for The Sunday Telegraph. The survey found that 62% of men and women over 55 have joined a dating site compared to 21% of 18-24-year-olds. They also met up with more internet dates (an average of 8.2) and found more relationships online (2.1) than any other age group. OTTAWA CITIZEN - Nov 14 - Since its launch last February, CougarLife has attracted ~ 300,000 members and, according to Noel Biderman, co-owner and president of the online dating network Avid Life Media, "we're poised to make millions. I don't think we've ever launched anything with this much traction this soon." The website has more young men registered than women (52% compared to 48%) predominantly because, says Biderman, older women have been slower to accept their new role as desirable beings than young men have been to "pounce on the idea of being with an older woman."
